America Young is currently working in many aspects of film-making. A show she co-created has been licensed by POW! (Stan Lee’s production Company). She has directed 5 web series, 7 shorts and 2 music videos. America is so excited that all her years of production experience and geek obsessions culminated into directing her first feature, a pop-culture comedy called The Concessionaires Must Die!! which is now in post. (www.cmdthemovie.com) America is also in post on two other projects she directed. The first is a scripted comedy pilot, starring and about professional wrestlers called Wrestling with Parenthood. The second is a western she also co-wrote, 100 Levels of Just In Time which is Jumanji with Time Travel. She proud to be a director on Locked in (a thriller short that is part of Girls!Girls!Girls!) and even prouder to be an executive producer on the whole Girls!Girls!Girls project (which won Best Producer at La Femme Fest).

Currently in development, America has co-written several scripts with several people that she is very excited about. Public School is a multi-camera comedy TV show, [Selection] a sci-fi feature, based on a dream she had, that is attached to Cantina Creative and Madhouse Entertainment and Alpha 3 sci-fi adventure film with Henry Saine. She is also attached to direct two features, one a satirical, wild, action comedy called Smash Girl about a punk girl band with superpowers and a heart felt, brilliantly subtle drama, It’s Not Me.
Not to mention stunt coordinating for Katy Perry, Natasha Bedingfield, Chris Cornell and feature films. Plus doing stunts in many video games, movies and TV shows.

When America’s not kicking the crap out of Super-Heroes that support the Superhuman Registration Act, jumping off buildings or setting herself on fire, she enjoys telling action packed stories, sipping herbal tea and sharpening her pair of Sai.

Sam McCoy|Writer

It was a dark night, the darkest of nights. The McCoy family was on their way home from the local theatre when a man whom would change their lives forever stepped out of the shadows… Oh, that’s not quite right, let me try it again. Blasted from the planet Krypton young Sam-El’s rocket ship crashed in rural Nebraska where he was raised by the kindly McCoys…no that’s not quite right either, we’ll get back to that later.

A product of the VHS era, Sam spent his youth watching the tapes of Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, Tim Burton, Richard Donner, George Lucas (and Irvin Kirschner and Richard Marquand respectively) and Paul Verhoeven over and over and over again until even tracking didn’t work anymore and he had to get a new tape. But ultimately his real love of movies originates at the historic Rivoli Theatre in Seward, Nebraska where during high school Sam would work.

Sam’s love of movies led him to the University of Nebraska where he received a degree in Film and New Media. He worked for the local PBS where he had the opportunity to be Associate Producer on the Emmy winning, Dream Like a Champion documentary about the Nebraska volleyball team and as an assistant editor for the program NOVA. This is Sam’s fourth collaboration with April and this is his first feature length script to be produced.

Sam currently works at Live Yes Studios in Lincoln, Nebraska where he shares his love movies and comics while serving the artists with developmental disabilities at the studio. Sam is thrilled to be having his script produced and is amazed at the amount of money that has been raised for something a little kid from small town Nebraska wrote. Now back to that origin, Sam was just a small time comedian and had to take a side job as the Red Hood…

Jason Dibler|Producer

After almost 20 years being involved in the entertainment industry (including writer, artist, musician, artist’s rep, and producer), Jason has nurtured ties with several key figures in the industry in both Los Angeles and Europe. Spending 6 years in Europe before moving to New York then ultimately Los Angeles, he has produced successful theatrical plays, worked on several television productions in Europe, produced video segments for SBtv & CNNfn.com, and ran some of the most successful boutique “entertainment” hotels in California. He produced “My Dear,” a live action/animated short, which was an official selection in the Palm Springs International Film Festival, and was EP on “Home Sweet Home” with friends & colleagues, recently distributed through Image Entertainment.

Jason was avidly collecting comic books since before Marvel spun off it’s New Universe, and has always been infatuated with the uncanny, the amazing, and the far far away.

Ron Eli Cohen|Producer

Failing his screen test to be Storm Shadow, the white ninja in the GI Joe franchise & still by far the coolest GI Joe action figure ever, Ron took the second best offer… being a part of The Administration team.

Over his time in the land of the angels he has worn many hats: from cutting his teeth working production on films such as Born to Ride and the highly successful Dark Knight Rises, to producing plays for Venice’s stalwart Pacific Resident Theatre, to recently serving on the Producing Team for The Bronx Bull — the story of legendary boxer Jake LaMotta.

In addition to being a member of the Administration team, Ron also currently serves as Head of Production for TWC Films, a Los Angeles based commercial production company. In charge of running the overall daily operations of the company, he has produced on commercials for Dominos, Home Depot, and Asics, to name a few. In addition to CMD, he is creative producer on a sci-fi feature in development and is starting a graphics novel company.

Zakareth Ruben|Producer

Zakareth is an actress and filmmaker working and living in Los Angeles. She grew up in Israel and lived in France so she speaks 3 languages. When she is not running after her eight year old boy she is making films. She has produced many shorts and web series and is proud that Concessionaires will be her first feature production. Zaki has appeared in many movies and TV shows including “Criminal Minds”, “Six Feet Under”, “Sniper 3″ and ”Wild Things” 2 and 3.
